I’m thinking of a number if you multiply it by 4 and then subtract 5 you will get 39 what is my number

The number would be 11

4x-5 = 39

add 5 to both sides

4x = 39+5

4x = 44

divide both sides by 4

x  = 44/4

x = 11

 the number is 11
