To start, you already know that Jake bought 1,000 candy lollipops for 20 dollars in total.

To show how much each individual lollipop cost, set up this expression:
20/1000

Then simplify:
20/1000=0.02

Therefore, each lollipop costs 2 cents each, or $0.02.
