2x-y=3

It's a linear equation (line)

we have two variables

I will assume a value of y=5

substitute in the equation above

2x-5=3

solve for x

2x=5+3

2x=8

x=4

therefore

the ordered pair (4,5) is a ordered pair that is a solution of the linear equation
