Explanation:

Weathering has deteriorated and broken up the sandstone, making it ready for destruction. Erosion occurs when ice, moisture, wind, or gravity take up and transport rocks and materials to a new location. They can't transport as much sediments if they slow down. Rock formations are where the sediment is dumped or deposited.
