The area of a rectangle can be represented by x^2−8x+12 . If the width is x − 6, what would be the length?

ANSWER: Let length be L = x+6 and width be W.
Given:
(x+6)W = x2 +8x +12
W = (x2 +8x +12)/(x+6)
W= (x+6)(x+2)/x+6)
W= x+2
