Why was egypt and nubia interdependent?

The reason Egypt and Nubia were interdependent, meaning that both countries had to rely on one another for certain resources that were needed, was because both countries needed each others help. Numbia had more trade routes than Egypt, had natural resources they were interested in, and could also help fight off any invaders of Egypt.
